Situation
Active Partners is a highly successful Growth-Equity investor in the consumer space. Having raised a new fund and with a strategy to build even greater capability within the digital space, Active Partners engaged Agora to run a search and selection mandate along with a fully managed, application, assessment and offer process.
Search
The process began with the help of a marketing and comms agency who provided a refresh of the Active Partners employer brand and the production of a high-quality pdf ‘Hiring Deck’ to showcase the fund and Investor vacancy. This was integrated into the website and used as collateral for advertising the role. Agora worked with the Partners to identify and map talent at relevant funds across Europe with a focus on generating a top calibre and diverse longlist.

The Result
During this process, over 2100 applications and 150 proactively sourced profiles were reviewed and refined to a shortlist of interested and suitable candidates. These shortlisted applicants were asked to submit three investment recommendations and a short personal pitch video. The best performers were interviewed resulting in a successful hire as well as adding numerous high profile consumer-sector investors and operators to the network for the future.
