The Situation
Moonpig was embarking on a critical growth phase in 2020. Compounded by the pandemic, the already successful E-commerce business was planning to list on the London Stock Exchange. Moonpig engaged Agora to appoint numerous key hires on both a permanent and Interim basis to complement the existing team and bolster their capability before such a key event. Timing and quality were the critical deliverables.
The Search
Given the team’s deep knowledge of the digital landscape and Pre-IPO build-outs, we quickly assimilated to Moonpig’s challenges. Hiring top-quality talent across every spectrum of finance; Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, Management reporting, Commercial Insight, Financial Governance and Financial Analysis. Working closely with the leadership & Talent team, we were operating to incredibly tight deadlines but successfully delivered each hire ahead of schedule.

The average time to hire from briefing to the appointment was 10 working days amidst one of the most challenging hiring periods (September 2020 – July 2021).
