The Situation

M&S is going through an exciting period of profound change across their whole organisation and culture. Their ‘Never the Same Again’ transformation has impacted their ways of working, with a focus on delivering a faster, more streamlined digital multi-channel business. Agora was asked to partner with M&S throughout this transformation to deliver a high volume of quality corporate hires across Finance & Strategy.

The Search

M&S engaged with Agora as a true business partner, and that level of knowledge sharing and trust enabled the Agora team to act as an extension of their brand; attracting great talent from a wide range of backgrounds. We were tasked with sourcing a high volume of roles, on both an Interim & Permanent basis. Given Agora’s specialism and reputation in the Retail & Consumer markets, we were well positioned to deliver high quality shortlists within short time frames.

The Result

In the last 12 months, Agora has supported the M&S team to make 16 key finance hires, and 5 key strategy hires, crucial to delivering against the needs of a listed retail group undergoing a seismic transformation. Agora has also successful partnered with M&S on retained searches for leadership level hires. Our partnership with M&S remains one of most successful to date and we’re really proud to partner with such a great British brand.
